Launching of the completed outer pontoon has been put back to the better tide of Tuesday 2nd April, works on that day will be launching of the outer pontoon and lift out of the old inner pontoon.
The final day was an opportunity for the young sailors to refocus on overall safety and weather awareness as well as consolidating their on-water skills acquired during the season. Everyone has made great progress during the season and learnt to overcome the various challenges the sport of sailing can present.
The 2018-19 Club Championships for dinghies and the Harken Club Pennant wound up in near perfect conditions with sixteen boats on the water enjoying the final points racing day.
This popular event is now one of the most enjoyable and hotly contested on the River, so don’t miss this seasons two handed sailing on the Tamar River.
After an early start Saturday, to catch the tide, the old middle pontoon was pulled out, and the new launched. The new frames for the new outer and inner pontoons are also at the Club ready for decking, fendering and floats, as we cycle out of the old pontoons.

There will be a crane and semi-trailer operating in the area of the launching ramp in the trailer park, early this Saturday, so please follow all instructions if in the area and be patient if access is restricted for a period.
Women on Water is back on Saturday 16th March in a big way with a casual race, followed by a cocktail party at the PDYC Clubrooms featuring entertainment from the Tattooed Tenor Matthew Garwood.
PDYC members collected over 20 bags of rubbish, along with assorted other items, as they cleaned up the various areas of the foreshore around Port Dalrymple bay.

RC Glen Cornish got a “bunch of old farts†(his words), together and took the 2019 series, thirty three years after Blue Prints, back to back wins in 1987 and 1988.
Tamar Marine Blockbuster 2019 was a big air series with race three on the Alpha course with the shifting westerly topping out at a gust of 30 knots, which saw put race 4 under postponement for Sunday. After a fabulous meal and a big night on the dance floor, Sunday brought a building north westerly that was brought some great close racing, especially in the NS14 fleet
2019 Tamar Marine Blockbuster weekend is coming up fast, with a huge Saturday evening planned with a huge Classic PDYC meal and live entertainment with the band "Bootleg" from 19:30.
