PDYC members collected over 20 bags of rubbish, along with assorted other items, as they cleaned up the various areas of the foreshore around Port Dalrymple bay.

After the great success of the 2018 day Port Dalrymple Yacht Club are going to take part in the “2019 Clean Up Australia Day “ on Sunday 3rd March.
RC Glen Cornish got a “bunch of old farts†(his words), together and took the 2019 series, thirty three years after Blue Prints, back to back wins in 1987 and 1988.
Tamar Marine Blockbuster 2019 was a big air series with race three on the Alpha course with the shifting westerly topping out at a gust of 30 knots, which saw put race 4 under postponement for Sunday. After a fabulous meal and a big night on the dance floor, Sunday brought a building north westerly that was brought some great close racing, especially in the NS14 fleet
2019 Tamar Marine Blockbuster weekend is coming up fast, with a huge Saturday evening planned with a huge Classic PDYC meal and live entertainment with the band "Bootleg" from 19:30.

​​​​​​​The 2019 CNW Mid-Week Series, hosted by Port Dalrymple Yacht Club, is underway running through January to Wednesday 20th February.
The L2H was followed up with an outstanding win in the hotly contested King of the Derwent, ahead of the Shaun Tierdermans gun boat, Philosopher. The class fleet including the winner of the West Coaster, Whistler and the S2H winner, Alive.
Back for it's second year, is the Clubs annual Classic and Wooden Boat Day, after testing the water last season, the popular event will be bigger in 2019, with more berthing space available there will be plenty of room for all.
That totals to seventeen PDYC members representing the Tasmanina Yacht Club of the Year over the Christmas period, close to ten percent of our membership! Have safe and successfull championship and ocean racing season.Â
