The 2019 King and Princess of the Tamar have been crowned at the Bottle-O PDYC Regatta in near perfect conditions, with some shifting breeze testing crews till it filled in.
The new King of the Tamar is Kevin Lloyd's Next Question, with the Princess of the Tamar, Deviots Brad Strange and Gabrielle Dewsbury in their NS14 Ninja Panda, both will take their place on the Sir Donald Trescowthick, donated silverware. Mick Jones has taken his third Line Honours win, at the Regatta, to be 2019 Cock of the Tamar.
Second in the King of the Tamar fleet, was Andrew Jones Elliott 5.9, ShrinkEDGE with Paul Hardy's, refurbished Nonchalant, taking third in the 12 boat fleet.
In the Princess results, Deviots Josh Barker and Johanna Cameron in YesYesYes were second, with Barrie McIndoe and S Herd third in Tequila. On the longer district dinghy course, that continued on from the Princess finish, first and third were the same, with Tony Fist getting his Weta tri, The Cat up to second.
In the Sabots Elysha Jones took the win, in Running on Empty, from brother Liam, at the helm of Crude Oil.
The Interclub Bart Hutton Trophy was decided over the TYC Regatta on Saturday and the PDYC Regatta on Sunday, with the PDYC team of David Hall's Shambles, Kevin Lloyd's Next Question and Stephen McElwee, taking the win, on 10 points from the TYC SB20s, Persian Princess helmed by Ian White and Chris Bayne on Pussy Galore, on 12 points.
