First of the new Club Pontoons launched and in use.

Pontoon update the first of the new Club Pontoons launched and in use, after an early start Saturday, to catch the tide, the old middle pontoon was pulled out, and the new launched. The new frames for the new outer and inner pontoons are also at the Club ready for decking, fendering and floats, as we cycle out of the old pontoons.
With a crane on site the opportunity was taken to load up the old steel walkways, which the Club has been able to sell, to help with the costs of the new Club pontoons, along with shuffle of pontoons and walkways a clean-up of the Clubs steel stock for future cradles was done.
With the old middle pontoon now partially dismantled, work will start on installing the GRP decking and fendering on the new outer pontoon, with the final stage of the Club pontoon upgrade the changeover of the inner Club pontoon. The layout of the new inner pontoon features a ramp for easier launching and retrieval of the Club courtesy dinghy.
