Fast Furious and Fun, all boxes ticked for the 2019 Doyle Inshore Championships, big breeze Saturday was followed by less on Sunday, but still brought plenty of spectacular action on the water.

The Elliott 5.9 State titles, sailing in conjunction with the Inshores, saw the fleet covered by a blanket for most of the five race series, with the last race of the series, deciding the championship, Andrew Jones took the 2019 States In ShrinkEDGE, one point clear of Ross Edmunds Hot Dog on 7 points with Kevin Lloyd's Next Question Third on 8 points.

In Division one First to third were covered by 2 points, with Damon Wecker's Smooth Cha Cha taking the win, on 7 points from Tim Whites Sassy, with Paul Badcock's newly named Oddessa, taking Third on 9 points.

Division 2 was super tight in the top five with two count backs to decide placings. The veteran Cordon Bleu revelled in the heavier / Holland 25 conditions to take the win, with the third and fifth owners in Mike and Peter Sluce, enjoying some great racing with the 5.9s and fellow veteran Supernova, with the Wells brothers on board, ShrinkEDGE took second on a count back to Hot Dog.

The CBH (trailable Class Based Handicap) division, saw a repeat of the 5.9 results ShrinkEDGE, from Hot Dog and Next Question with Wynyard’s James Lohrey fourth, in Pure Steel, and third in race 4, the weekend’s big breezes, tough for the TS16.

Huge thanks to Nick and Brian from Doyle's Hobart, for their continued support of this, fantastic fun regatta.
