Sailing Instruction for the 2019 Doyle Inshore Championships are now available (see below), We are looking at a good fleet for the Inshores with up to five SB20s joining the fleet, providing plenty of entertainment if the breeze is up, there will be plenty of berthing available this year, with the jetty redevelopment complete.
The local Elliott 5.9s had a good hit out last Sunday prepping for their State titles, with rumours of optimisations underway in the fleet.
Race timing returns to the traditional inshores format, with the regatta briefing at 10:00 Saturday, followed by the warning signal for race one at 11:25. Races two and three will be sailed back to back after a lunch break from 13:55, remember to order lunch before heading out.
Courses have been tweaked this year with Windward Leeward the main course style (with the addition of offset mark) with the option of a river course, finishing at the Club, if tide and wind direction constrain, the course area.
Saturday evening will see competitor’s well feed, with meal at the Club and a debrief of the days racing over a drink.
Warning signal for Sunday's race four and five is scheduled for 11:25 to wrap up the series.
