Club Championships start Sunday!

It's Club Championship time with the pre-Christmas Harken Club Pennant, for Divisions 1 and 2 and the Beams Brothers, Club Championship for the dinghy fleets, commencing on Sunday.

Opening Day preparations

Thank you to all the members that gave their time and assisted in making the Club ready to go, for the Sunday the 10th Opening Day.

Working bee 9.00am on Sunday 3rd October

The Annual pre-season Working bee will start at 9.00am on Sunday 3rd October, with a BBQ lunch and refreshments at the end of the day, with a change to socialise.

The Rosevears Hotel Shakedown Series has been run and won with super close results with 2 points the places from first to third. Race 3 saw the fleet enjoying the Tamar at its best with blue skies and a light northerly

Race 1 of Shakedown postponed until Saturday Morning

RO Barrie McIndoe has been in touch with the Bureau of Meteorology this morning and based on their information and that of the other weather models the weather is unlikely to moderate sufficiently to allow a start this evening

Shakedown 2021 weather update

In light of the BOM’s prediction of high winds and low level snow there is a high probability at this stage that Race 1 will be postponed to an early start on Saturday morning.

Season Opening 2021-22, Sunday October 10th

Opening Day will follow its traditional format, with the Official opening at 13:00hrs, followed by the sail past the fuel berth at 13:50hrs and the first days racing starting at 14:10hrs.

Shakedown Regatta 2021 September 24th to 26th

Shakedown Regatta 2021 will be the first event of the PDYC 2021-22 sailing season, building on the 10 entrants in 2020, the event has secured its place as the season per opening to the calendar.

Winter works continue

The roof over the main section of the clubhouse was recently replaced as part of the Club’s off season maintenance program.
