Season 2022-23 is underway, with Sunday's Official Opening of the Sailing Season, by Patron Peter Kearney, under perfect clear sky's and a packed Clubrooms, at Port Dalrymple Yacht Club.
After a very light, sail/motor past of the Club pontoon's, taking the salute from the Commodore Barrie McIndoe, Patron, Vice Patron's and invited guests. Racing got under way in a lovely northerly, with nine Division 1 and 2 boats and a good fleet of dinghies making their start to the season.
In Division 1 and 2 fleets, Peter Brooks took the win in Live Wire from Kevin Lloyd at the Helm of Honcho. In Div 2 David Hall sailed Shambles to the win from Rob Mantach in Chutzpah by 12 seconds with Jason Harriss third in Blue Print.
