Club Update

Spring is here, so its time to think sailing!

To set the ball rolling, all are invited to our Winter prize night where we will present our Trophies from the Tamar Marine Two Handeds and the Bok Print Winter Series. Join us for Soup & Pizza. We  will also launch our 2022-23 season. Lock in the date Saturday 1^st of October.

With Opening Day on the horizon our annual preseason working bee is scheduled for Sunday the 2^nd October. Apart from our regular routine clean & touch up jobs, we have some repairs to do on the sea wall, give the rescue boats a spit and polish and buff up the club house for the big summer of sailing. More details will be out next week

Opening Day, Sunday 9^th October, we will kick off in the morning welcoming our tackers and Juniors back with a registration and orientation session. Opening proceedings will take place at 1300 hrs and following a sail past racing will get under way from 1410 hrs. This year we return to our traditional “bring a plate” format (if you could slip a note in with your plate if your plate has Nuts, Dairy, Eggs or Gluten, it would be appreciated)

Saturday 15^th sees our neighbor Tamar Yacht Club’s Opening Day festivities

Our season proper starts Sunday 16^th Oct with our Harken pennant for Keels & Trailerables  and Beams Bros for Dinghies

Our first Offshore race is set for Saturday 22^nd with a run out to Barrenjoey and return whilst Sunday sees Long Distance Trophy Races and our Discover Sailing Centre hit its paces
