Reminder for Working Bee, this Sunday 27th September, start time will be 9:30am and as is the PDYC tradition they will include lunch and a post work debrief and drink.

So, what are we going to be doing, some of the Items to be ticked off pre-season and into the years works are in no fixed order:

• Turning Mark Servicing.
• Gear check and maintenance of the Clubs training fleet.
• Clean up sweep out of the Sabot Storage Area, Dinghy Racks and the Rescue Boat Shed.
• Safety gear check Rescue Boats
• Trailer Park tidy up mowing under all the trailer park boats we can safely move.
• Big garden tidy up trimming and cleaning the area behind the Club House and Cottage.
• Path cleaning around the rear of the Club House.
• Pressure clean ramps and pontoons.
• Clean out silt baskets on the capture pits on the EnviroSlip and servic OWS.  
• Fitt new member access door.
• Fit new equipment: New courtesy dinghy winch post, New access ladder outer pontoon, New Access Gate for main Jetty, hose reels. 

Small new works projects: 

• Handrail around the grassed parking area south of the tender storage.
•  Replace timber edging from that area to the tender racks.

Major works that may fall as jobs to start / complete on the first couple of working bees:

• Final alignment and grouting of traverse bay rails.
• Refurbishment works on the Caretaker Cottage; some minor demo works for outside contractor work areas.
• Painting and general repairs Caretaker Cottage.

So, there is plenty to do, all skill levels are catered for, there is no pressure to attend for the full day gives us the time you can or note down one of the future dates when the program is out if it suits. Don't forget sun protection / warm clothing depending on Tassie weather whims, enclosed footwear and a pair of gloves if you have. Will be a fun and productive day, and we look forward to seeing you there.
