Women to take to the water at PDYC

Women of all ages and sailing experience are encouraged to come along to the Club on Sunday 18th March for “Women on Water”.

This will be held in keel boats and will be an opportunity for young and not so young to get involved on the water, and novices will be most welcome.

A “friendly” race will be held in keel boats starting at 1:30 with the arrangements being no spinnakers, women must helm and crew with only an owner or representative on board in a mentoring role.

We have boat owners making their boats available and looking for women to sail so if you would like to be involved please come along.

The plan is to get together beforehand at the Club and also after sailing.
