Waterfront Hotel DF65 Radio Yacht Series starts Friday!

Friday evening sees the sees the first Race session of the season long, Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel, DF65 Radio Yacht Series, something completely new for PDYC, but extremely popular around the world. We are excited to welcome back the Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel as the series sponsor for the DF65 racing.

DF65 yachts are the fastest growing one design class in the world. They are now raced at over 50 clubs in Australia with 1100 boats registered to race there have been over 50,000 boats sold world-wide.

The Club have purchased four boats that will be available for race night hire, these have just arrived and are still at the assembly stage, so details on hire rates etc to follow. Club member wise there are over 20 in various stages of construction presently, so the DF65 Class has certainly taken off.

Racing will get underway at 18:10, as per normal race days we will need a entry form completed, so we can produce results, and for new boat owners remember you will need a sail number, as they will all look very similar, in a very one design class.

For the Pre-Christmas Race Sessions, there will be no entry fee, to encourage participation and giving the Club some time to sort racing format. No entry fee, but the Club Bar will be open for spectators, and a post racing debrief.
