Thirtieth anniversary Inshore Championships

Published Thu 15 Oct 2020

The first Northern Tasmanian Inshore Championships were sailed in in 1991, with the 2020-21 season, being the thirtieth anniversary, for this great regatta.

We have given the Inshores a freshen up for its 30th birthday, on November 14th - 15th, with more, but shorter races. The windward - leeward course, has been shortened too two laps and a extra race added to both days program. So less race distance sailed, but more close racing action.

Helping us celebrate 30 years, Doyle Sails Hobart are back for their third year as sponsors of the Inshore Champs, with heaps of Doyle Vouchers up for grabs, along with the random draw for a $300.00 of the price of new Doyle sail.

The thirtieth anniversary see's a new class added to the series, with the growing SB20 class getting their own class, along with the two handicap classes and the CBH handicap for trailables. SB20 will have automatic Division 1 handicap entry, same as the CBH trailables in Division 2.

2020 Elliott 5.9 Tasmanian Championships, will again combined with the Doyle Inshores and be the hotly contested, with 2019 winner Andrew Jones, ShrinkEDGE, probebly not defending their title, due to working to get AdvantEDGE ready for the L2H. The title will be open for Next Question, Hot Dog, Shark Bait, Coronella and the rest of the 5.9 fleet.

Notice of race and entry form available below, please note the extra pages on the entry form with Crew lists compulsory and safety check list for Cat 7 attached for checking. Please note, that there may be spot safety checks through the Regatta.
