Tamar Marine Two Handed is Back! Updated 5th April!

Well its taken us a long time to get to the 34th Tamar Marine Two Handed Series, last time we sailed Two Handed, the new PDYC Club pontoons were just hitting the water.

The Series was born in 1986 under the control of the Kelso Yacht Club and was sail for many years on the waters off Kelso before moving to PDYC. The Series has had the support of Tamar Marine since 1993.

This popular event is now one of the most enjoyable and hotly contested after a 24 month break, so don’t miss this seasons two handed sailing on the Tamar River.

Notice of race and entry forms will be available below; entries can be made prior to the 11:00 start for race 1.

Races 1 and 2 Sunday 11th April.
Races 3 and 4 Sunday 18th April.

There are some small changes to the Safety requirements for the 34th THS in line with AS recommendations for short handed sailing extract from the updated NoR below.

9. SAFETY

  •  Safety Category is AS Cat 7.
  •  All crews are required to wear a PDF while racing.
  •  All boats are to have a handheld VHF at hand on deck or access to a fixed VHF on deck. 

So get your one crew organized and get your entry in for one of the classic calander events.
