Sailing Committee

Vice Commodore invites expressions of interest to join the sailing committee for the 2019/20 season.

Members are required for the sailing committee to represent the following areas of sailing operations.

• Dinghies, Off the Beach, One Design
• Juniors/Youth
• Keel/Offshore
• Trailerables

These representatives would join the VC , Club Handicapper and Race Officers to collaboratively present the clubs calendar of events.

Shake down Regatta (Northern Pipe Opener)

VC Barrie has mooted the excellent idea of conducting a pre-season weekend regatta for Keels and Trailerables. This event will take some logistics to be organised to facilitate it so in the initial year it would require a minimum number of entries to proceed.

• Proposed date Friday 20^th Sept to Sun 22nd
• Program Friday Night Race 1: from Beauty Point to Rosevears
• Saturday Afternoon Race 2: Round the Cans at Rosevears
• Sunday Morning Race 3: Race from Rosevears to Deviot

Eligibility The series would be open to all keel and trailerable boats registered with any Australian Sailing affiliated yacht club which satisfy the safety regulations set down for the series, Special Regulations 2017-2020 CAT 5N, however the organising authority, the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club, reserves the right to refuse or reject any entry.

Minimum Numbers 6

Minimum Crew Numbers 3 for Race 1 and 2 for Races 2 & 3

Social Activity Breakfast on the Bank Saturday at Rosevears

Dinner at the Rosevears tavern Sat Night.
