Shakedown run and won, in Relentless fashion.

Published Sun 22 Sep 2019

The inaugural Shakedown regatta has been a great success, with all entrants excite about the regatta and looking forward to the 2020 edition. Hats off to Barrie McIndoe for bringing the tried and perfected concept from the south to the Tamar, start of a tradition!

First Shakedown needs a inaugural winner and Jason Harriss and crew on Relentless have taken the prize, Relentless capped off the Regatta with a line and handicap double, in Sunday's final race, from Rosevears to Deviot, to finish the Regatta on seven points.

Second in Race three was Paul Badcock in PD15 (i'm sure Paul will surprise us with a boat name on opening day?) with Stephen McElwee third in Lawless.

Overall results were Relentless first on seven points, Lawless second on nine points, with Andrew Jones third on ten points in ShrinkEDGE.

Huge thanks to Barrie and Magnus for their work over the weekend, shadowing the fleet, laying marks and running the regatta from Rescue 3, great effort guys.
