
The inagural Shakedown regatta got off to a great start with seven yachts entered and six starters, taking on light conditions for the race one of the series PDYC to Rosevears. Line honours went to the fleets smalest entrant Andrew Jones ShrinkEDGE finishing just prior to 2:00am. Race one win went to Jason Harriss in Relentless with ShrinkEDGE second and Tim Whites Sassy from TYC third.
Saturday's persuit race was sailed in blustery conditions and saw win go to PDYC Commodore, Stephen McElwee, with ShrinkEDGE second and Sassy third. After two races in the Shakedown sailed, ShirinkEDGE leads the series on four points, with Lawless, Sassy and Relentless all tied for the minor placings on six points.
Racing continues tomorrow the final race leg from Rosevears back to Deviot.
