Published Wed 19 Nov 2025

Sailing Instructions are live for the 35th anniversary Doyle Inshore Championships and Engine Reco and Parts SB20 Northern Regatta. Port Dalrymple Yacht Club are grateful for the ongoing support of both sponsors, with close to $2000 of prizes up for grabs over the weekends racing.

On the water the big boats are back! with three and the possibility another thirty plus footer jointing Honey Pot (Hick 35), Ambition (Thriller 32), and Sprint Dog (Radford 35). All these crews are excited to continue their close racing from the season opening Duke Shakedown, and get hold of some Doyle Sails vouchers.

Division 2 sees a couple of inshores year one entrants, continue their 40 years of competition with Supernova (Farr 727) and Cordon Bleu (Holland 25) entered, with PDYC Commodore Barrie McIndoe looking to keep them both on their toes in Coronella (Elliott 5.9).

Division 1 and 2 will be sailing a combination of Windward Leewards, with a final race River course each day, taking them back to the Club, leaving the track clear for the SB20s.

The Engine Reco and Parts SB20 Northen Regatta see's three of Australians top SB20 teams coming north, to boost the northern fleet. In Karabos - Nick Rogers, Porco Rosso - Paul McCartney and Ares - Eirini Marios, joining Honcho, Bluey and Persian Princess.

Off the water Saturday evening will be one to remember, with a Tropical Island Party, encouraging the arrival of summer, hopefully!

Feature entertainment will be the return of the PDYC Chocolate Wheel, spinning up lots of prizes through the evening and raising funds for the purchase of four more Doyle Spark Sabot sails for the PDYC training fleet.

Entries are open to Midnight Thursday if you do not want to miss Inshores 2025!
