Robbie Eadie has been Port Dalrymple’s only sailor to contest a National regatta this Christmas New Year period, Robbie again contested the Liberty Class over the past four days. Eadie took a 5th, 4th, 4th in today’s final races, ended up overall 4th in the open division and 3rd in the para class division after 4 days and 10 races. A gear breakage in the first race on day three gave him his series discard, after a great day two with two seconds.

Not the Nationals 2.0
Ellen Hillcoat headed south to contest the second, Not the Nationals 2.0 hosted by the RYCT for classes that didn’t get to travel to their Nationals this year. Ellen placed a strong second in the ILCA 6 (Laser Radial) Class with three seconds and 4 thirds, great result leading into the State Championships in early February.
Confab Single Handed Series
At PDYC the annual Clash of the solo sailors the Confab Single Handed Series has been run and won with the last race of the series deciding the regatta contested by 13 yachts from three Clubs, great start to 2022.
The win went to Robin Tasker in Spindrift, with win in the final race getting Robin over GTYC Commodore Paul Hardy in Nonchalant on a tie breaker, third place went to early series leader Peter Brooks in Livewire.
