Sabot Sailing – big weekend at PDYC

This weekend the Tasmanian Sabot Sailing Association will be holding a two day regatta at the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club.

A strong fleet is expected from around the State, returning to the venue of the Tasmanian Championships last season which attracted a fleet of 21 boats.

With solid training programs in place at clubs around the State it is expected the fleet will be sailing with more confidence and improved skill levels.

PDYC has recently acquired 11 additional Sabots which will provide a pathway for the upcoming wave of young sailors progressing out of Tackers.

The Sabot class places a big emphasis on fun and enjoyment as can be seen from this competitor photo from the State Championships last season.

Come along and have a look racing starts 11.00 Saturday and 10.00 Sunday, heading out on the water half an hour beforehand.
