The 2017-18 Dinner and Trophy Night celebrated an amazing season in the Clubs history with PDYC hosting a World Championship, and completing the Club’s largest ever infrastructure upgrade.

Club members completed a stellar year on the water, with Peter Brooks co skippering with Jo Breen Morning Star in the Melbourne to Osaka Race, and the NS14 Nationals being won by Nick and Brianna McElwee.

Locally members took three State Championships during the season, Kevin Lloyd first, taking the Elliott 5.9 States hosted with the Inshore Champs in November. March saw Taylor Edmunds finish her time in Sabots, winning the State Championships, sailed with the Youth Championships at TYC. Rounding out the State Championship trifecta, were Nick and Brianna McElwee, claiming the NS14 States, at Midway Point.

With this background the Committee had a lot to consider in deciding the Clubs major trophies for the 2017-18 Season.
