Jetty Open for use!

Published Sun 13 May 2018

With 1750 volunteer hours now ticked over, we are on the home straight for the jetty redevelopment, the jetty is open for use, power is on to one point, with a second to follow soon, water is on to both pontoon areas and if all goes to plan, we may be serving diesel late next week.

Please use care when accessing the jetty from the shore, access is open, but the last of the decking works are still underway, the first of four new solar LED lights is set up next to the diesel tank, lighting the step up to the new jetty decking.

This is a dream project for the Club, the ongoing maintenance to the main jetty has been a burden on the Clubs finances for over twenty years, with the dream of being able to do what we have done, just that. But now we have a nearly completed dream, that can be stood on and tied up too and amazing reality.

A huge thank you goes to MAST, Tasmanian Community Fund, Tasmanian Gas Pipeline, West Tamar Council, Tasmanian Government and TasPorts, without their support, the dream would not be a reality.
