Jetty inner section underway!

Another big day on the tools, mainly the oxy torch has the Main Jetty Re development jumped forward another step, with the first section of the old railway iron, inner Jetty dismantled, and the first of the new steel work, loaded on the work pontoon, ready to be lowered into place.

The final day berth pontoon is now in place on the new pontoon and these pontoons are open and ready to be used.

As noted last week by web page, email and Facebook, there will be occasions in the next month or so that the outer section of the jetty, will only be accessible by boat.

Plan is that as new sections of the inner jetty are erected they will be decked, so there may be days when access is available, but don’t bank on it, over the next 4-6 weeks.
