EnviroSlip Project update to members 4

Big progress in the last couple of weeks, with lots of pits, tanks, pipes and conduits in the ground, all the hidden stuff that will make working on your boat, so much easier and Environmentally safe at PDYC in the future.

Stand out items:

  • The new retaining wall along the western side of the west hardstand is complete and looking fantastic, thanks again to Island Block and Paving for their support with the block supply.
  • Main collection manhole and tank are in the ground and the top of the main slip incline.
  • Clubs new main water connection is in place on Flinders Street and live thanks to Paneltec and Grant Chugg Plumbing for their quick professional work on Tuesday. One step closer to all the 1” gal water pipe being gone and the Clubhouse, Main Jetty, EnviroSlip and Trailer Park being fed by a 63mm poly main all the way from Flinders Street.
  • First of the new graded concrete is poured along the east edge of the existing hardstand, directing all the boat work washdown runoff to the new Fox Enviro pits and on for treatement.
  • Footings are dug for the new rails on the Western side of the handstand.

Works coming up as of Tuesday 2nd April will start on the new vee kerb and kerb and channel running along Kemps Parade from the main entrance to the trailer park, through to the north end of the EnviroSlip. Please note the Southern gate will be the only access to the trailer park during these works.

If you haven’t been to the Club for a while, have a drive by and check out the progress, when you are at the Club, please remember the slipway is a construction site under the control of the RMB Construction, so there is no access. We note that you may see some Club members on the site occasionally assisting with the electrical install, and other items, please still respect that the site is restricted access and do not enter.
