Covid-19 Alert

Published Thu 22 Oct 2020

With the impending opening of the Tasmanian borders next week, it is timely for all of us at PDYC to refocus and pay attention to our Covid-19 responsibilities.

PDYC has implemented a Covid-19 Policy which can be found on the Club website with paper copies available at the clubhouse.
Please familiarise yourself with the PDYC Covid-19 Policy and requirements when coming to the Club.
It is important that each and every one of us comply with the key points being:

  • Contact tracing records must be completed on entry to the Club
  • Social distancing must be practised wherever possible, including 1.5 m between persons. No handshakes or hugs.
  • Each room/area at the Club has designated maximum person limits. For example, upstairs inside there is a 100-person limit and outside the total deck area limit is a 35-persons.
  • High standards of hand and cough hygiene must be maintained, including regular washing of hands
  • All persons must be seated when consuming food and beverages

You must not enter the PDYC facility if:

  • you are feeling unwell including cough or mild cold/flu-like symptoms;
  • you have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days.
  • you have visited any hotspot locations in the last 14 days.
  • you have been in contact in the last 14 days with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • for any other reason, you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

If you have been diagnosed with the virus and have visited the club in the 14 days prior to diagnosis, please advise the club commodore directly by email to commodore@pdyc.org.au

Stay safe and look after yourselves, friends, family and fellow members – don’t be the one to let the team down!

Hope you have a great weekend, and enjoy what the club has on offer including the Barrenjoey offshore race on Saturday, Learn to Sail & Tackers Sunday morning and harbour racing on Sunday afternoon.

Cheers,

Greg Rowsell

Commodore
