Capriccio takes top spot in CNW Mid Week Series

Published Thu 17 Feb 2022

Another hugely successful CNW Mid-Week Series has wound up with one of the closest finishes in the series history with one point separating each of the top three placings the new level sponsorship from CNW Electrical Wholesale and the Guerrilla Espresso Bar kept the interest high to the last race, even rain couldn’t dampen the numbers.

The course setters nailed it again with the breeze filling in nicely for what seemed an optimistic course to Middle Island, final race results saw a win go to VC Barrie McIndoe in Coronella, from Peter Sluce in Cordon Bleu with Ian White taking third in Meant to Bee. Overall results saw placings first to sixth covered by seven points, indicating how close the series has been.

A popular and well sailed first CNW Midweek Series win went to Leon Williams in Capriccio on 26 points, from David Shepherds Honcho on 27 points, with Luca Bayne taking the helm of Bust A Move in Christo's delivery absence to take third place on 28 points. Thanks again to Justin and Damon for their support of this great series.
