The 2023 Tamar Marine Blockbuster went down to the last race in 2 of the five classes, with one point separating first and second places in the Sabots and Sabre classes.  After Saturday's building and blustery westerly, conditions were less extreme for Sunday's final three races, with a North westerly breeze building to 12-15 knots, but remaining consistent in direction, giving the 22-boat fleet, some respite from Saturday's tough final race conditions.

In the B14 Class Adrian and Kelly Beswick took the win in Rocketship, on 8 points, from the fast finishing Bondi Tram crewed by Scott Foster and Sam Bailey on 10 points. Third place went to On The Edge, with the family team of Brady and Penny Tassicker, just edging out the Ross Daley and Tony Van Galen in Early Warning, after a broken rudder took them out of the regatta.

The Sabre Class saw a super tight three way battle all regatta, with Richard Bingham's two wins in races 5 and 6 enough, to get Sparkles into first place, one point clear of Mike Darby in No Mischief, with fellow Wynyard Yacht Club member Matthew Price third in Zap.

Stanley Foster took the win in the lasers in No Name, in the NS14s Magnus McIndoe and Felix James took the win in Fast Asleep.

For the first time in the Regattas history, the smaller fleet gave us the option to run the Alpha fleet Sabots, combined with the Bravo fleet, giving the Sabot sailors a close up look at the future classes they might graduate too. in the Development class Amy Lee put in a calm and considered series, with only on DNF in the top end wind conditions, to take the win in Aries.

The Senior Sabot fleet was tight at the top, with one point deciding the series, Wynyard’s Liam Tassicker took the win in Toasted Cheese, from the Royals Nicolas Schoe in Hold the Bus, with PDYC's Grady Frith taking third with Fader in the ten boat fleet.
