Blockbuster 2021 is Live!

Port Dalrymple Yacht Club invites dinghy sailors in the Sabot, B14, Sabre, NS14, Sharpie and Laser Classes Joint the Club, in celebrating a double birthday, for the Tamar Marine Blockbuster, the 2021 Blockbuster will be one not to be missed! 

Port Dalrymple Yacht Club is looking forward to seeing past and new entrants back for the 21st anniversary of the first Blockbuster weekend, when Mark Turnbull, fresh from the 2000 Sydney Olympics and new crew Nick Partridge, joined the Tasmanian 49er fleet at the inaugural Blockbuster weekend. 

2001 saw the start of the current proven Blockbuster format, with the B14, NS14, Laser classes, kicking off the Tasmanians longest running multi class regatta. With those three classes set to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the current format Blockbuster with the PDYC. 

Port Dalrymple Yacht Club, thanks the B14, Laser and Sabot Classes for their inclusion of their State Championships in the 2021 Tamar Marine Blockbuster helping make this year a fitting tribute to a fabulous regatta.

Some info on the weekend:

  • We have the option of limited camping, on site at the Club, tick box option in online entry, we be tracking numbers and following up, and will advise when capacity reached.
  • There will be a requirement for Covid 19 declaration for the regatta, this will be emailed to competitors close to the event to be completed and submitted to Regatta office, down stairs prior to 1130 Saturday 27th Feb
  • Blockbuster Dinner will be a Pasta Night, 2 courses $25 per Adult $ 15 per child u/16,  Again Booked and paid for at regatta office prior to 1130 Saturday 27th. (No walk ups, due to covid 19 and catering limitations)
