Australian Sailing National SheSails seminar

On Wedneday evening, twelve women across a broad age group particated in a live seminar as part of the Australian Sailing National SheSails initiative called Steering the Course.

This seminar connected women in sailing from all around Australia to listen to inspirational presentations from female leaders in sailing and sport generally.

The presenters included past and present sailing Olympians and grass roots club administrators.

The PDYC group represented a great cross section of women from Sabot to offshore sailors who are really getting involved in sailing.

Our PDYC SheSails Reps wth Australian Sailing, Jodie Sullivan and Teresa Badrock, are looking to build on the opportunities for women to sail at the club.

Events already in the program include two skills development days as well as the Women on Water Regatta in March.

These events are expected to provide an impetus for greater female particpation in all forms of sailing at the Club.
