After a short AP period the heat of the day, brought in a nice sea breeze for crews in the 2022 Steve’s Liquor - Bonney Energy PDYC Regatta, with a good fleet enjoying close racing, across all classes.
In the combined Sabot and District Dinghies fleet, vying for the Princess of the Tamar, Fast Asleep took back-to-back wins with Barry McIndoe and Terina Enniss our new Princesses of the Tamar, from Sabots of Liam Jones in Crude Oil and Stuart Tenberge, third in Cool Change.
The King of the Tamar was contested by a ten-boat fleet, with Scott Creadon dusting off Mustard Cutter, to take the Cock of the Tamar title, with his line Honours win. The King of the Tamar was SB20 lock out, With the win going to David Shepherd in Honcho, from Christo Bayne in Bust A Move, with Jason Van Zetten taking third, in Dog House.
The PDYC Regatta was the second leg of the of the interclub battle for the Bart Hutton Trophy, following on from the TYC Regatta on Saturday. Sundays PDYC member placings were enough for the Bart Hutton Trophy, to book another year in the PDYC trophy cabinet.
