2018 Classic Entries

The return of the Classic has generated a strong fleet of entrants of all sizes from Sarah and Piers Findlay’s Pilot Bay 21 through to Helen Gibson’s Hick 35 Hickup, set to take part in the Audi Center Launceston sponsored and Tamar Marine, Launceston Sport & Surf, Brierley Marine, Rosevears Hotel & Avantiplus supporting, the 2018 Classic.

Racing gets underway from the Rosevears Hotel prior to 10:00 Saturday for the Kayak crews with the mass start to the first sailing leg at 10:00am, the race then leap frogs its way down the Tamar to Gravelly Beach, for the runner transition, then on to Devil’s Elbow for the Cyclist transition.

Cyclists head as far north as the Clarence Point loop, with the sailing and cycling legs finishing at the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club. The days racing will be followed by a presentation at the Club and dinner with live music to wind up the days land and water racing.
