Port Dalrymple Yacht Clubs, Women on Water day is a multidimensional occasion.
- With the week starting with International Women's day, Women on Water celebrates and supports IWD's mission "to celebrate women athletes and applaud when equality is achieved in"oppurtunity, pay, sponsorship and visibility".
- It provides a focus for Port Dalrymple Yacht Club to spread the word on the "She Sails "program and events supported nationwide by Australian Sailing
- As a sailing club it is our way of giving something back to the people that support our sport.
- Our Women on Water day gives all ladies of any experience an opportunity to go sailing in a collegial environment.
- It provides an oppurtunity for ladies to meet and encourage other ladies to partake in our sport.
It concludes with an informal "Sailors Cocktail Party" where all participants will be able to share their reflections and aspirations and hear about the opportunities available in all areas of sailing, from skippering & crewing to race management, admin and support roles.
